 New Year's Resolutions by Sacred Chickens Staff Uncle Morty and the rest of the Sacred Chickens team would like to share their reading resolutions for 2019. We hope you're making your own literary resolutions and Happy New Year! Your Uncle Morty has no specific books in mind. However, he does plan to read a good number of biographies in the coming year to help him contemplate his upcoming project: Mortimer After, A Deathography. So if you have any memoirs or biographies to recommend, please feel free to make suggestions here or on the FaceBook page. Julie also has no specific books in mind. She has two specific reading related goals. One is to rescue the books that accidentally got put in storage. The other is to find some nice places to read. She’s in a new place and she will be looking for coffee shops, parks, museum cafes etc. So if you have suggestions for those in the Atlanta area, let us know. Jarad has no specific books he wants to read (he sort of just wanders around a library or bookstore and comes out with an armful or two), but last year he noticed that he was beginning to have a problem with being on his phone. He wasn't getting as much reading done as he would like. So his resolution is read before bed now instead of looking athis phone, and so far it's been helping! He also wants to work on his problem finishing short stories, and I work on writing at least once a week.
