Announcements and Apolgies
Sacred Chickens Staff
Hello Chicks and Chickens and all you groovy birds who read our blog! You will have noticed that we have been posting a bit less recently. Why? It’s not because we don’t love you.
Julie is writing a novel and is right (or write) in the middle of the knottiest part of tearing apart Hell. Trust me, that last sentence will make sense when you read the book.
Jarad is in the midst of a new temporary job, a hunt for a permanent job and a move. By the way, he’s up for some freelance writing and content creation. You can hit him up at email@example.com.
In the meantime, we have some grandiose plans. We are going to be starting a Patreon. We’re not looking to make a killing – sorry Morty – but we’d love to do more and help advertise our page, especially because we like to publish new writers and review books from smaller publishers when we can. We figure it might be nice to help our contributors spread the word about their projects and submissions. Morty will be in charge of the extras for patrons. I’m sure he has some good stuff up his sleeves, although admittedly, right now he’s not wearing anything except some Mardi Gras beads – attire he assures us is entirely appropriate for someone in his condition.
Not only that, we are going to start a podcast in which we will talk to friends of the chickens about the weird ideas they believe or wish they could believe. All this will hopefully be coming to you in about six weeks.
In the meantime, I would like to remind you about our submissions guidelines. I have one thing to add. Be SURE to put submissions for chickens in the subject line. We get a lot of email. If you have a book you’d like us to review add book for review in the subject line. Truth be told, we’re not the most organized creatures but we try. (Uncle Morty asks that we make an exception for him. Although I suspect he might appear more organized because he doesn’t do that much work.)
Anyhoo…thanks for reading along with the chickens. There’s more poetry, stories, parables, and reviews to come!
